We are a couple who are striving to create the world we want to live in, where care, beauty and love are the driving forces. Dreamboat is an expression of this.
We felt like creating something that celebrates quality, nourishment and connection, and wanted a business where our mix and match skill set comes in handy.
By combining Mike’s passion for Mercedes trucks and woodworking, fabricating and problem solving skills with Linda’s obsession with tasty, nourishing and wholesome food that pleases both the eye and the belly, green fingers and a knack for creating a cosy ‘space’ we decided to embark on the journey to create a mobile cafe on wheels.
We found a golden campervan from 1968, a mercedes 406d to be precise.
The shape, the size, the vibe. We were hooked. We embarked on a long journey to peel back 50 years of other previous owners dreams and to fully restore and convert it to suit our dream. We are proud of what we have made, as it honors the vehicle’s age and history and communicates our values well.
We have to admit, throughout the build we weren’t sure exactly what we would be serving from the Dreamboat. Just that it was going to be healthy, vibrant, delicious, organic most often and of good quality.
So we designed the Dreamboat to be flexible, just like us.
We rock the friendly cafe vibe, the stylish vintage mobile cocktail and coffee bar and the classy vegetarian food stall. Or a combination of all.
